Little Orchard is situated in a tiny, secluded hamlet of traditional Cornish cottages called Trefanny Hill. At the end of the 19th Century, the hamlet was known as Hill and was a thriving farming community. But within 20 years, Hill and all its homes had been abandoned. Not one of it’s men returned at the end of the First World War. It was brought to life again almost 50 years later by the Slaughter family and run as a successful holiday village. The holiday village was sold in 2014 and Trefanny Hill is now a mixture of private and holiday cottages.
The cottage has its own parking space located just outside the private, enclosed garden with French doors leading into the Lounge/Diner with woodburning stove. This leads into the small Kitchen which is fully equipped with dishwasher. A door leads off to the Bedroom and Bathroom and a small cupboard which houses the washing machine and small freezer (suitable for dog food etc).
The garden is fully enclosed by traditional Cornish stone walling and additional pailing fencing to approx 5ft. There is a barbecue and outside seating area.
Little Orchard is dog friendly and will take a maximum of 4 medium (collie size etc) dogs. Please get in touch if you have requirements outside of this. There are no additional charges for dogs.
